L O V E - Journey of Soul

Most rightly, love can be defined through silence. In love we enter in speechless world. Mere saying I love you, is not a love. It may be affection, may be lust; may be result of admiration of rosy cheeks, coral lips, stars like eyes. In love you need not to say anything, lover already know how much you love. There is no scale except soul to measure love. Love is silent journey of one soul to other for merger. You don’t know when it happens. You realizes it post facto, after merger. So, it is not under you control. You can break it, it will not die. It is immortal. In love soul departs, only body remains and it is of no use. Do whatever want with useless body. A new entity emerged different from the bodies. Two souls becomes one soul. It is undividable, unbreakable; unseparatable. Nobody can divide it.

Love is always beautiful. It is a pleasure. It enjoys every moment- happiness, cheer, pain, grief, sorrow. In love mind have limited or no role. Mind is very clever. It always thinks for benefit. Mind is not capable to fall in love. Lover thinks from heart not from mind. Heart takes control over the affairs. That’s why, love never think about loss, profit, status, poor, rich, cast, creed, colour, culture, race or other man made differences. Love is transformation between souls and all souls are same. Soul is divine. So, love is also divine because it is result of merger of two divine creatures.

I feel now speechless; I am feeling divine fragrance, its 1 AM (December 13, 2009) and I wanna sleep. So, if you are in love just feel it, your innermost consciousness will define you best. Everybody, if normal, living on earth falls in love. Love is nature. Sooner or latter you had to fall in love. It is ultimate truth. You can delay but can not deny. Nature can not be change. You can just divert route of nature, which way you will go it may be different. But result is same.

Silence- The Ornament

To speak on silence is difficult. I am trying to speak the unspeakable. No doubt silence is good. Not only good, it is like gold. I remember, when I was child my father used to say, “short-speaking is silver and silent is gold”. Actually, there are two worlds. One, the world of words, concepts, languages, philosophies; and second the world of silence. Both are diametrically opposite to each other. Silence means a state of wordlessness. However, both ways you can communicate. Moreover, the messages conveyed through silence have greater impact. In silence, basically, souls convey with each other; giver and receiver is consciousness. But it is so difficult to communicate through silence; because the people don’t hear it, they don’t listen. They can’t understand it; it is beyond them. You will be failed. You will not be able to convey what you are carrying with you. Yes, it is difficult, almost impossible to convey thoughts in words because this is the experience of wordless state of mind. How to convert that silence into sound? There seems to be no way and there is none. You are utterly blissful, but the world is full of misery. There is lack of communion. When people don’t not need words to understand you is- the state of communion. Communication is through words, and communion is through silence. I agree, silence is the best way of conversation. Yes it is possible to communicate through silence; but with the right person, and at the right time, and for the right purpose, and in the right way, that is not within everybody's power, that is not easy, that is not always possible. And on the other hand, communication through words is difficult. Yes, words are not enough. Neither persons nor languages are perfect. Words are open to be misquoted. Communication through words is great danger. You need to be cautious, more alarmed. You had to be selective, careful, choosy, alert, vigilant, controlled, commandant, comprehensive, smart and diplomatic. But you had to speak so that people could understand you; or take risk to lose yourself in the darkness of the world. Nobody have time to listen your silence. Keep pace with changing environment. While speaking, remember that you are refuting an unrefutable proposition. Silence is not irrelevant, neither it was nor it will be.

There are few saying. Wise person’s words on silence:

  • To keep silent when you can say something wise and useful is as bad as to keep on propagating foolish and unwise thoughts.
  • Do not speak in a state of ignorance.
  • The tongue of a wise man lies behind his heart.
  • Wise man first thinks and then speaks and a fool speaks first and then thinks.
  • Fool's mind is at the mercy of his tongue and a wise man's tongue is under the control of his mind.
  • Silence is the best reply to a fool.
  • He who does not know how to be silent will not know how to speak.
  • Silence is argument carried out by other means.
  • Silence is often misinterpreted, but never misquoted.
  • Even a fish wouldn't get into trouble if it kept its mouth shut.
  • Words are a heavy thing...they weigh you down. If birds talked, they couldn't fly.
  • From the fullness of the heart, the mouth speaks.
  • Spiteful words can hurt your feelings but silence breaks your heart.
  • There are times when silence has the loudest voice.
  • Do not speak unless you can improve the silence.
  • Silence is the true friend that never betrays.
  • We must have reasons for speech but we need none for silence.
  • Silence is a fence around wisdom.
  • When money speaks, the truth is silent.
  • Silence is a text easy to misread.
  • Silences make the real conversations between friends. Not the saying but the never needing to say is what counts.
  • We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature - trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence... We need silence to be able to touch souls.

Mun Kunto Ali Maula

Admittedly, I am not perfect to write about Hazrat Ali (a.s), and I think nobody can. Languages exists on earth are too poor, we don’t have vocabulary. Some exaggerated him, they are called Nusairi. But for me comparison of Hazrat Ali (a.s) from mankind is impossible; and he is not God. So, just think backward who is after Al-Mighty God- sure Holy Prophet Mohammad (SA); and after Holy Prophet (SA) definitely Hazrat Ali (a.s.). He is the third from the top, forget the rest.

What we can discuss is; his characteristics only, not full character. For me, Imam Ali (AS) had a personality in which opposite characteristics had so gathered that it was difficult to believe that a human mind could manifest such a combination. He was the bravest man that history could cite and such brave persons are always hard-hearted, cruel, and eager for bloodshed. On the contrary, Ali was kind, sympathetic, responsive and warm-hearted person, qualities quite contradictory to the other phase of his character and more suited to pious persons. He was very pious but more often pious and religious persons avoid society and do not care to mix with corrupt and sinful persons. Similarly warriors, kings and dictators are usually arrogant and haughty. They consider it below their dignity to mix with poor, lowly and humble persons. But Ali was different. He was a friend to all. As a matter of fact he had a soft corner in his heart for poor and humble and for orphans and crippled. To them he always was a kind friend, a sympathetic guide and a fellow sufferer; he was meek towards them but haughty and arrogant against notorious warriors and generals, so many of whom he had killed in hand to hand combats. He was always kind but strict with wayward persons, sympathetically teaching them the ways of Allah. He always smiled and passed happy and witty rejoinders. It was difficult to overcome him in debates or repartees, his rejoinders and retorts always bore high mark of culture, education and wisdom. He was a philosopher, a moralist and a great teacher of religious principles and theology. A study of his life shows that his sword was the only help that Islam received during its early days of struggle and its wars of self-defence. For Islam, he was the first line of defence, the second line of defence and the last line of defence!

He was the most learned person, the most eloquent speaker and orator. His piety, his love of Allah, his sincerity and fortitude in following religion were of such high standard that no one could aspire to reach him. He was the greatest politician because he hated diplomacy and loved truth and justice. As he himself said - had he no fear of Allah, he would have been the greatest diplomat. He always arrived at correct conclusions and never changed his decision. He was a man of such surpassing and pre-eminent characteristics and such transcending and peerless qualities that many learned men got perplexed about him and imagined him to be an embodiment of Allah. Many amongst the Jews and Christians loved him, and such philosophers who had come to know of his teachings bowed down before his incomparable vast knowledge.

His life is an agglomeration of pleasing incidents, bloody encounters and sad episodes. Each aspect of his life is so lofty and glorious that a study of one phase makes you feel that it was the best phase of his character and the most beautiful picture of his personality, while contemplation of any other phase will enchant you more and you will come to conclude that no human being can attain that height, and a third aspect will fascinate you equally and you will realize that before you is a personality of such sublime eminence that you cannot fully appreciate its greatness and you will feel that Ali was an Imam (leader) in the battlefield, was an Imam in politics, was an Imam in religion, was an Imam in ethics, in philosophy, in literature, in learning and in wisdom. It is not difficult for Allah to create such a person.

My Excuse- To be Accused

He who excuses himself accuses himself. But I do excuse that sometimes I feel superiority complex; Hitler master race theory. Sometimes it comes from my inner consciousness. In religious terms, it is from Satan. It argues that I possess good knowledge on subjects, sometime argues that I have best forefathers (Being Syed). Any way, this is complex; it is truth, so I am accusing myself. An accused either has to be absolved or has to punish. But either way he is free after a period. But the person who hides truth has to come to the truth. He faces greater consequences.

Why I like truth because I like success and it comes from truth. Everything created in this word is truth. So, if someone wanna enjoy this world, he had to observe truth. The Truth is original, and to attain something in this word you have to be original too. Truth can not be attained by following untrue. Truth is not in any creed, in any argument; truth is in the deepest core of your being, hidden inside. Truth is not logic; it is not syllogism, it is inside you.

To my mind, if you deny truth or delay in accepting truth you destroy yourself. You become more like a shadow. You lose your being…… you lose yourself. You are no more true, real, authentic. You are moving dangerously: you are taking a great risk; you are going into the unknown.

I don’t wanna have risk, so I excuse and accuse to set me free from the clinch of complex.

Know Your Friend-(KYF)

  • If you want to be friends with anyone, then make him angry and see if he treats you fairly while he is angry, and if he does not, then leave him.
  • A friend cannot be considered a friend unless he is tested on three occasions: in time of need, behind your back and after your death.
  • If you wish to know a man's character, then seek his advice, for surely you will find out how just or unjust he is, and how good or bad he is, from his advice.
  • If you make friend, have one graveyard so that can burried his mistakes and secrets.

Saying of Imam Ali Reza (A.S.)

  • Silence is one of the gates to wisdom.
  • Do not get angry when you are informed of the truth.
  • One ought to see his guests off to the gate.
  • Man’s intellect is his friend and his ignorance, his enemy.
  • Human intellect is a divine blessing but politeness is acquired through endeavoring.
  • Prudence keeps repentance away.
  • The honest man has not betrayed you, but you consider the betrayer as the honest one.
  • If the men of knowledge present their knowledge to the ignorant people, they have spoiled it.
  • I wonder at one who purchases the slaves and releases them. Why doesn’t he try to make the free people indebted by his good conduct?

Friends-One soul in two bodies

  • I believe in angels. I'm surrounded by angels, but I call them friends.
  • Love is blind; friendship closes its eyes.
  • Friendship is impossible with a liar.
  • He who listens to a backbiter loses a friend.
  • The question isn't would you die for a friend, it's do you have a friend worth dying for?
  • Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Others stay awhile, make footprints on our hearts and we are never, ever the same.
  • Make new friends but keep the old ones; one is silver and the other's gold. A circle is round, it has no ends, that's how long I want to be your friend.
  • True friendship is a plant of slow growth, and must undergo the shocks of adversity before it is entitled to the appellation.
  • Friendship is the hardest thing in the world to explain. It's not something you learn in school. But if you haven't learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven't learned anything.
  • A friend cannot be considered a friend unless he is tested on three occasions. 1. At the time of need 2. Behind your back 3. After your death

Hazrat Ali (AS)-God of Nusairies.

  • To keep silent when you can say something wise and useful is as bad as to keep on propagating foolish and unwise thoughts.
  • Adversities often bring your good qualities to the front.
  • He who praises you murders you.
  • Enemity is the occupation of fools.
  • To teach is to learn.
  • Courtesy costs nothing but buys everything.
  • He who listens to a backbiter loses a friend.
  • The tongue of a wise man lies behind his heart.
  • Do not speak in a state of ignorance.
  • Knowledge gives life to the soul.
  • Speech is like medicine, a small dose of which cures, and an excess of which kills. He who teaches you a letter, binds you with a fetter of gratitude.
  • A wise man first thinks and then speaks and a fool speaks first and then thinks. 41. A fool's mind is at the mercy of his tongue and a wise man's tongue is under the control of his mind.
  • A fool's mind is at the mercy of his tongue and a wise man's tongue is under the control of his mind.
  • Unfortunate is he who cannot gain a few sincere friends during his life and more unfortunate is the one who has gained them and then lost them (through his deeds).
  • Success is the result of foresight and resolution, foresight depends upon deep thinking and planning, and the most important factor of planning is to keep your secrets to yourself.
  • Do not close a door that you are unable to open.
  • The vision of the eye is limited; the vision of the heart transcends all barriers of time and space.
  • Truth is bitter, but its result is sweet; falsehood appears to be sweet but it is poisonous in its effect.
  • Minds are locked-up stores, only questions open them.
  • Knowledge is better than wealth. Knowledge guards you while you have to guard wealth. Wealth decreases by spending while knowledge increases by spending, and the results of wealth die as wealth decay. With it a man acquires obedience during his lifetime and a good name after his death. Knowledge is a ruler while wealth is ruled upon.
  • Avarice is disgrace; cowardice is a defect; poverty often disables an intelligent man from arguing his case; a poor man is a stranger in his own town; misfortune and helplessness are calamities; patience is a kind of bravery; to sever attachments with the wicked world is the greatest wealth; piety is the best weapon of defense.

Mind it!!!

  • Unless you can see inside my head, you wouldn't understand.
  • Condemn me, it does not matter, history will absolve me.
  • Silence is argument carried out by other means.
